KHADAON or PADUKA

Paduka is a terminology used in the Indian religious tradition of Hinduism that denotes a foot wear made out of wood. It also refers to the footprints of deities and saints that are venerated.
Paduka as footwear is generally worn by mendicants and saints of Hindu and Jain religions. Its significance in Hindu mythology is linked to the epic Ramayana.
Paduka also means foot prints of Hindu gods such as Vishnu, Shiva and other religious icons that are worshipped in this symbolic form in houses and also in temples built for this purpose. One such temple is the Gaya temple dedicated to Vishnupada or Vishnu's feet. Similarly, Buddha's foot prints are worshipped under the Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya.
It is also the royal symbol (not as a foot wear but as a headgear) in Malaysia termed as ‘Seri Paduka’ denoting "His Majesty", which is a title bestowed as an honour of recognition to the dignitaries of Malaysian court for their outstanding contribution to the betterment of their State.

Up into the silence the green
silence with a white earth in it

you will(kiss me)go

out into the morning the young
morning with a warm world in it

(kiss me)you will go

on into the sunlight the fine
sunlight with a firm day in it

you will go(kiss me

down into your memory and
a memory and memory

Dream dream dream

A Dream

Canon Powershot S3IS

Dream
Priscilla Ahn

I was a little girl
Alone in my little world
Who dreamed of a little home for me.

I played pretend between the trees,
and fed my house guests bark and leaves,
and laughed in my pretty bed of green.

I had a dream
That I could fly from the highest swing.
I had a dream.

Their idea of bottoms up in their parties.....

I think either she was tending to and itchy back or taking a mud bath.

I miss rolling on the ground so much. Remember that fight that time? we pulled the other ones hair and rolled in the dusty ground fighting ferociously :P......by the time it got over....muddy hands skinned knees....dust blown hair....and the oh so familiar muddy taste in the mouth. I miss those fights so much :P

I WISH I knew that woman’s name

I WISH I knew that woman’s name

Canon Powershot S3IS
Way back from Badrinath

I WISH I knew that woman’s name,
So, when she comes this way,
To hold my life, and hold my ears,
For fear I hear her say

She ’s “sorry I am dead”, again,
Just when the grave and I
Have sobbed ourselves almost to sleep,
Our only lullaby.

Upon a common summer’s morn,
A flash of dew, a bee or two,
A breeze

And I ’m a rose!

Sound sleep needs no Master bedrooms

Sound sleep needs no Master bedrooms

Canon Powershot S3IS
Nehru Park

I guess a sound peaceful sleepis something so rare now in THIS age. Almost everyone is so stressed. Mostly the culprit is work. Corporations today suck the life out of the emploers and i don't know....i visualize them as those big factories where humans walk in and come out as robots. I see people spending 14 16 hours normally at thier work places. Home is more like a station.

You know today a recent 12th pass kid said that he pity's my life. After I told him that I spend most of my time traveling. He pity's my life because I don't have a career, hence i don't have a life. And I told him. One cannot have wings and work at the same time. Its a choice. And almost always people choose work. I chose my wings. I pay some very heavy prices for my set. Being broke is one. Then having to be perceived as a loser by the working class, which includes friends and family.

But all of this still does not change my mind about my vagabond life. You see the truth is....these early 20s of life are the only years when you're old enough to be on your own and young enough to do what you want to do. This is the time when the body can take all the bumpy rides and one is free enough to see the world. People give up this time in working and accumulating experiences for their resumes. And before you know you've hit 40 and have kids hitting their teens. And its too late to have your own life.

Have you ever noticed? the sentence "i have a life" is always followed with "i have a job" ??? I don't believe having a job means having a life. It is a very rare combination which only lucky few have been blessed with. Mostly people who work hate their jobs and their bosses. So how is that having a life? People confuse having a "life" with earning a living. Life is that little time which you have apart from your work and home. Most of the people now I come across don't even have a passion in life. Hardly any hobbies for that matter. So what are you doing for yourself? Apart from hitting the happening places in the city every weekend?

It is so FUNNY now when I hear the answers when people are asked about their hobbies. The most widely used words are - Listening to music, making new friends, WATCHING TV, surfing the net (is a new one nowdays)...............................................................??????????? Since when are these daily routine small scraps of entertainment become hobbies?

Well just some food for thought. Think about it.

Life is moving on.....why am i still stagnant...

Trickling down my cheek was a tear...

Trickling down my cheek was a tear,
when your sweet memories came back again
they came along with a silent pain
because now you were nowhere near...

Trickling down my cheek was a tear,
when in my mind came your face so fine
you can never be mine
to me you had made that so clear...

Trickling down my cheek was a tear,
when i was unable to find out why you did not love me,
what reason could it be
was it someone else?? i was haunted by this fear...

Trickling down my cheek was a tear,
when i found out that you were made for someone else only
my heart broke i felt so lonely
because iv been loving you for years...

Trickling down my cheek was a tear,
when everything is over now
in front of my fate i had to bow
but you were the only one whom i had ever loved my dear...

Loving in blue

almost one

On way to Lancedawn
Olympus C170/D425

Everyone has a color in mind associated to some particular words or emotions. Usually red goes for rage and green for jealousy, and so on. Everyone has a color for Love too...somehow my color for love is Blue. . .

Blue...is the color of a clear sky on a beautiful day. Color of its endless vastness. Its such an amazing thing how a loving heart surpasses the boundlessness of the sky. Blue is the color of the great depths of the oceans...but love goes deeper than that...love is a deeper shade of blue. Blue is the color which brings calm and peace...it soothes and relaxes.... it does to ones mind what love does to ones heart. Blue is also the color of the core of my fave flower...Blue was also a color dad use to wear a lot...

But then again....Wounds also come in a shade of blue...deep wounds. When love wounds you it is devastating...leaves a mark on the skin of your heart...the scar fades away with time but it never heals completely. Blue is the color of cold, blue is the color of ice...of frost...of numbness...of loneliness...of absence...of longing.............Blue are also the tears we shed...

Blue is the color of two extreme spheres....and in this picture they become one.

So for me "blue" completes my definition of Love.

Shadows walk

LIKE Men and Women shadows walk

LIKE Men and Women shadows walk
Upon the hills today,
With here and there a mighty bow,
Or trailing courtesy
To Neighbors, doubtless, of their own;
Not quickened to perceive
Minuter landscape, as Ourselves
And Boroughs where we live.

I hold a blue planet

I hold a blue planet

A blue Marble
Canon Powershot S3Is

This was taken when me and Mani were on our way to Kalpa. We halted at some turn on a mountain to give our tushi's a break from all the biking, and to absorb the beautiful view of the valley and the river from the edge of the turn. While sitting there Mani as usual was up to his monkey business and found this tiny small blue marble embedded somewhere in the slope's soil. So I took some macro shots of him holding it. I still have this marble as a souvenier of that break. Of that day. Us sandwiched between a clear sun shiny sky and a breathtaking landscape of the mountains and the valley below.

An evening in Safdarjung Tomb

An evening in safdarjung tomb

Safdurjung Tomb
New Delhi, India

Safdarjung's Tomb is an outstanding example of Mughal Architecture. It represents the last phase of Mughal style of architecture, Safdarjung's Tomb stands in the centre of beautiful garden. Built in 1753 by Nawab Shuja-ud-Daula to house the remains of his father, who was a minister in the Mughal court, the tomb is referred to as the "last flicker in the lamp of Mughal architecture." It shows how the grace and simplicity of the Mughals had been overtaken by decadence. The tomb also has a mosque.

Nawab Shuja-ud-daulah, built the memorial in the memory of his father Mirza Muqim Abul Mansur Khan, popularly known as Safdarjung (1739-54). Safdarjung was the governor of the province of Awadh under Muhammad Shah (1719-48).

On either side are beautiful pavilions known as "Moti Mahal" or the pearl palace, "Jangli Mahal" or the sylvan palace and "Badshah Pasand" or the emperor's favorite. The mausoleum built with red sandstone and buff stone is faced with marble and stands squarely in the middle of a garden. There are two graves here, one of Safdarjung and the other presumably his wife's. The square central chamber of the mausoleum is surrounded by eight rooms all around. All the apartments, except the corner ones are rectangular in shape, the corner ones being octagonal. The dome of the tomb rises from a sixteen-sided base. The tomb has been criticized for its weakness in proportions hence a lack of balance in its make-up.
