Silenced by the one I loved

Silenced by the one I loved

I was a chirpy bird free and happy
You found me and caged me in your love
And then after half a decade you put a knife to my throat,
I was Silenced by the one I loved
And now I lie motinless in the grave you buried me in
Dying slowly, painfully...
Waiting for sweet death to release me

When I shall leave, follow my footprints and find me

When I shall leave, follow my footprints and find me

Death is a dialogue between
The spirit and the dust.
"Dissolve," says Death.
The Spirit, "Sir, I have another trust"

Death doubts it, argues from the ground.
The Spirit turns away,
Just laying off, for evidence,
An overcoat of clay.

Emily Dickinson
