Sweet idle summer days of childhood

Canon Powershot S3IS
Dudhwa National Park
Well I surely miss my very young days when we use to get lice from school and mom use to pin us down in her lap and get rid of them :P ......at 1st I use to get agitated and restless but then after sometime I would give in to the nice sunshine and cozy lap and doze off......

Still Existing

KHADAON or PADUKA
Paduka is a terminology used in the Indian religious tradition of Hinduism that denotes a foot wear made out of wood. It also refers to the footprints of deities and saints that are venerated.
Paduka as footwear is generally worn by mendicants and saints of Hindu and Jain religions. Its significance in Hindu mythology is linked to the epic Ramayana.
Paduka also means foot prints of Hindu gods such as Vishnu, Shiva and other religious icons that are worshipped in this symbolic form in houses and also in temples built for this purpose. One such temple is the Gaya temple dedicated to Vishnupada or Vishnu's feet. Similarly, Buddha's foot prints are worshipped under the Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya.
It is also the royal symbol (not as a foot wear but as a headgear) in Malaysia termed as ‘Seri Paduka’ denoting "His Majesty", which is a title bestowed as an honour of recognition to the dignitaries of Malaysian court for their outstanding contribution to the betterment of their State.

The greener grass

Canon powershot S3IS
Himachal Pradesh
Up into the silence the green
silence with a white earth in it
you will(kiss me)go
out into the morning the young
morning with a warm world in it
(kiss me)you will go
on into the sunlight the fine
sunlight with a firm day in it
you will go(kiss me
down into your memory and
a memory and memory
i)kiss me,(will go)

Dream dream dream

Canon Powershot S3IS
Dream
Priscilla Ahn
I was a little girl
Alone in my little world
Who dreamed of a little home for me.
I played pretend between the trees,
and fed my house guests bark and leaves,
and laughed in my pretty bed of green.
I had a dream
That I could fly from the highest swing.
I had a dream.
